This charming 18th century cottage stands in its own grounds, facing south with views of the  Gargunnock Hills and surrounding farmland. Across fields to the north stands Gartincaber Tower, a ruined Victorian ‘folly’ that marks the geographic centre of Scotland on an east-west axis.

An ideal place from which to explore the small market town of Doune, with its ancient Castle, 17th century Pistol Factory, Antique Centre and boutique shops. A little further afield are the Argaty Red Kite Viewing Centre, the monument to David Stirling, founder of the S.A.S., and Blair Drummond Safari Park. Within a 10-mile radius are Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, Bannockburn Battlefield, and the vast Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, encompassing Inchmahome Priory on its island in the Lake of Menteith, and Rob Roy’s Grave at Balquhidder.

Golf Courses within a 35 minute drive: Gleneagles, Buchanan Castle (Drymen), King’s Park (Stirling), Callander, Aberfoyle and Balfron.

Accommodation

The Cottage sleeps 4/5 in two Bedrooms at opposite ends of the building, each with its own bathroom, separated by the Sitting Room/Dining Area. Laid out all on one level with no stairs, it has Disabled Access, so can make an ideal base if you are looking for accommodation in the Stirling area for a disabled person – depending on specific requirements.

Garden Room
A Super King Double (which can be converted into a Twin), has its own en suite Bathroom with step-in Shower, fold-up seat and support rail, w.h.b., toilet, heated towel rail and blow-heater. Hair Dryer provided.

Rose Room
Two Single beds, with a ‘stowaway’ bed, has its own Bathroom with Bath & Shower over, w.h.b., toilet, heated towel rail and blow-heater. Cot/Crib available on request.

Sitting Area / Dining Area
Comfortable seating around an open fireplace, TV with Freeview/DVD player, Radio/CD player, Dining Table with 6 chairs. Wi-fi.

Kitchen
Fully-equipped with table & chairs, place settings for 6, all cooking implements, Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher, Washing Machine/Dryer, Steam Iron & Ironing board, Chest deep-freeze (in outside shed), Barbecue.

Central Heating(Oil-fired) throughout.
