Rated Four Star Self-catering Accommodation by VisitScotland, in a quiet, riverside location on the banks of the Allan Water looking across to the centre of the small cathedral town of Dunblane. Built in traditional style, Number 17 is a lower-level spacious two bedroom apartment, accessed by a few steps, with its own parking area.
Although the railway station is just a couple of minutes walk, no sound from the trains intrudes.
Situated just off the main A9 north-south route, and with a commuter rail service to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, Dunblane is an excellent base from which to explore the area, with its historic buildings, battlefields and a vast spread of dramatic countryside. The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park (a few miles to the west) with its hills and lochs, offers great opportunities for walking, cycling, sight-seeing, boating, fishing and golf. The Gleneagles Golf Centre is just 20 minutes by car and St. Andrews courses an hour to the east. Dunblane has its own Golf Club, and there are more at Auchterarder, Bridge of Allan, Callander, Muckhart, Aberfoyle and Balfron. An excellent bus service links the town to Bridge of Allan, the University, Stirling city centre, Glasgow and Perth.
